Beyond: Two Souls has been well received, and that’s largely due to the storyline and the visuals, not the game play. The game is very difficult to get used to, even if you’ve played the previous version.
The storyline is what makes it. You play as Jodie Holmes, a girl who, since birth, has been tethered to an otherworldly entity named Aidan. This companion isn’t exactly easy going, and it means Jodie receives frequent visits from evil creatures. You follow Jodie over 15 years, and it’s up to you to help her deal with the weird yet wonderful world. The game is often spooky yet spectacular, and while there is room for improvement, it’s still a game worth buying and completing! It’s sitting in the charts quite highly at this moment in time, but prices may come down in January, so stay tuned.
